Welcome and Retreat Context

Praise the Lord, I am delighted and happy that you are in this December retreat of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Movement, December retreat of 2025. And I am mandated by our Father in the Lord to speak to us and as usual I consider this as a great privilege and I want to still tell us that this is a privilege that I am not going to abuse. So with that I want to refresh our minds to what we have had so far.

We have listened to the message which is entitled Essence of this Retreat, Setting the Stage for Spiritual Renewal, Influence of our Polluted World and Journey Just Come. This they do because they know not the Lord, who was to be a pioneer, but the Lord himself. And so with these messages we trust that some level, some degree of work has been done in our lives.

So as we sit down to listen to the music ministry, I want to urge every one of us to pay attention, listen to the music and leverage on whatsoever that the Lord will bring on your way because they are all intended to achieve one singular purpose, that is to bring cleansing to you. And don’t forget that the theme of the December retreat is entering into the pool or entering and passing through the pool. You enter and you pass through and you come out the other side cleansed.

Exhortation: Desire to Be Like Jesus

My desire is to be like Jesus. And your desire and my desire should not be anything short of that.

So lift up your voice and tell the Lord, I want to be like Jesus. Songwriter says, this is my longing and this is my prayer. Then he talks about forfeiting all his treasures in order to put on Jesus likeness, in order to wear Jesus likeness.

And there is nothing that is better this time that any person should pursue who is expecting to make rapture, who believes in the truth of God that we are disseminating from the pulpit of the watchman. So like the songwriter, prayer for purity says, pure as Thou art. Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness and then stamp your own image deep on my heart.

John the Baptist said, I must decrease while Jesus increase. So open your mouth, tell the Lord, I want to decrease, I want to see increase of Christ. I want to love like Jesus, I want to have compassion like Jesus, I want to forgive like Jesus.

I want to have tenderness, I want to have kindness, I want to have the helpless, I want to share those that are fainting. I want to be a seeker of the wandering sinners, wandering souls. There are many wanderers among us that are waiting for watchmen, are waiting for those that understand that there are many wanderers.

They are waiting to be guided, are waiting to be directed. You can help somebody. So open your mouth, tell the Lord, help me so I can help others, lift me so I can lift others.

I want to get the lowliness of the Spirit, the humility of Christ. This is my pomposity, this is my pride. What removes Satan from heaven, from the throne and the rodeum.

I cannot afford to carry this poison, cannot afford to be like Satan. I do not want to be like those Christians that Mahatma Gandhi said that I love your Christ but I hate you Christians because you are unlike your Christ. Lift up your voice and ask God.

Prayer, prayer, prayer is important. Patience, harmless and brave. Be brave.

Opening Prayer

My father and my God, I want to thank you because of this songwriter. Thank you because of men that have gone before us, who have left a foot marks that we can look at. Look at the kind of songs that men wrote not the present dancing, not the present write-up or songs that only we can look at as they just bring things they like and don’t just bring Jesus’ name to a kind of serve as something to flavor each.

My father and my God, this is the type of song that will make person great father in heaven to rethink. It is my prayer that Lord as we listen to these holy songs, as we listen to these songs that were inspired, these songs that were not for commercial purpose, these songs that were meant to take men to heaven. Great father may our souls and spirit be affected.

May we be connected eternal father to the spirit of just man that have made perfect. May we be brought into the assembly of men that have gone before us. Precious Lord, I want to thank you because I know you will help us, help me, help all the washed men in the places, Nigeria and beyond the shores of Nigeria.

Great father that we, Lord in glory, may oh God connect to the old because the word of God says that if a person has tested the new and tested the old, he will say that the old is better. Great father in heaven, in these days of a new time religion, in these days of religion that have dealt with the old ancient mark, in these days of journey just come, great father in heaven, my father help us Lord to retain what we have. Help us eternal father to love what we have.

Help us to cherish the old time religion. Great father help us to cherish the old time way. Thank you my father as I bring again the mind of God.

Lord I want to plead with you. Let me be an oracle. Let me speak as an oracle of God.

Let the mind of God be brought out that the people may benefit. May the spirit of the Lord take this word, pass it to the recesses of our heart and tumble our lives and tumble our hearts and carry out a reformation and a reformatting and a rejuvenating and put us back great father to your word. Thank you spirit of the living God as we sit back to listen to the word.

My father may the effect of the word that that Mary listened as Jesus was speaking. May our if the effect be like it was that day that Jesus was speaking. May we have the effect like that day that Peter after a night of a fair effort after listening to Jesus the world was so touching.

The world was so penetrating and then and Jesus gave instruction can you move out a little bit and this and then he said Lord we’ve toiled all night nevertheless at your word. It was the word that they had that brought that change of mind and in the day great father in heaven that the people were were abandoning the faith, abandoning Jesus because he said except you eat my flesh and eat my body you have no life in you and people began to to go away and Jesus said will you go away? Peter said to whom shall we go you have the wars of eternal life. Precious father may I bring the wars of eternal life.

May the way that will come out from my mouth be worse that we bring eternal life because it is not every word that is spoken on the poppies today everywhere worldwide that is word of eternal life. May the worst that should be coming from the watchman poppy globally great father be worse that we bring eternal life and not worse that we anger people and offend people. May our poppy not be turned to political poppy.

May our poppy not be turned to a place of vendetta where somebody rises and then he begin to fight my father and my God. May the poppy be a place great father of restoring man to alignment with the truth. Thank you father for answer.

Glory be to your holy name. I know that this is the desire of your servant our pastor and this is the desire of all sincere and honest watchmen. Glory be to your holy name for answering our prayer.

In Jesus name we have prayed. Amen. Let all the watchmen say amen.

Amen. Say it again. And so we are bringing to you a message.

Transition: The Retreat Theme and the Cleansing Power of the Word

Remember that the general title is entering and passing through the pool. You enter the pool you pass through the pool and then you come out to the other side clean. But then part of the pool you are entering you are expected to enter is all this word of God that have been coming.

Jesus said the word I speak there are spirit and there are life and then Jesus turned to the disciples and say you are made clean by the word you’ve had. And then he prayed he said father sanctify them through your word and the word is truth. So you say we are born again by the word of God and by the spirit of God.

And then I’m Paul writing to the church spoke about the relationship between the church and Jesus. And then I spoke about cleansing through the water of his word and being washed. So as you sit down to listen please and please pay attention and do not allow anything to distract you.

Because for you to be what you’re supposed to be for you to be a child of God for you to overcome what you’re supposed to overcome the word of God is the bottom line. The word of God is the light the entrance of his word gives light and it gives understanding. And wherewithal shall a young man get himself cleansed it is by giving heed to your word.

Your word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you. If you take your mind back to the Easter retreats of this year 2025 you discover that during the Easter retreat I brought up the Bible and we sang a song. I asked every person to raise the Bible and then the same thing also was done December retreat of 2024.

And again I want to appeal to us that let us return to the Bible. Return to the Bible. Return to the Bible.

Let the Bible become the food of the traveler. In 1981 I went to a conference 1981 and the minister who preached in that conference gave a message titled the word of God the food for the travelers. The word of God the food for the travelers.

Job said I esteem your word more than my necessary food. Food is necessary but I esteem it more than your necessary food. And Jesus Christ said that man does not live alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

There is a good addiction. Addiction A-D-D-I-C-T-I-O-N. Addiction.

I want to introduce you to and I am addicted to that. What is that addiction? Word addiction. Become a word addict that when you pick up the Bible and you are reading you may even forget that there is food.

You have appointment you may even forget that you have appointment. There are three things that that I recently discovered that are governing my life. Number one is reading the word.

I read the word more than anything you can think about. And then the next thing that followed is to think on the word. I can close lay it down quietly for hours and I’m thinking on what I have read.

Then the third is prayer. These are the three things. Reading the word.

I read and read until your back is paining until the body is paining. But the thing you are discovering is so sweet that you cannot drop your Bible. And then I’m meditating on the word until the word has influenced your life and influenced your mind.

And then you open mouth and then you begin to talk to God. That is how Christianity becomes sweet. And and when you it is the desire of God that we should come to this addiction and that is the addiction I wish that our young boys and young girls and people around that have been addicted to to pornography to to to masturbation and all those vices that you get this into this addiction it delivers you from the other addiction.

Message Title: He Treats You the Way You Treat Him

Now we go to the message which is entitled he treats you the way you treat him. That is the way God you will be treated is the way you treat God. That is talking about the principle of divine reciprocity.

Principle of divine reciprocity in 1st Samuel and chapter 2 and let us read verse 27. And there came a man of God unto Eli and said unto him thus says the Lord did I plainly appear unto the house of your father when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house and did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest to offer upon my altar to burn incense to wear an effort before me and did I give unto the house of your father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at my offering which I have commanded in my habitation. Honorous thou your sons above me to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people.

Wherefore the Lord God of Israel said said thought I had planned. I said indeed that your house and the house of your father shall walk before me forever. The priesthood will remain with you forever but now I’m changing my mind but now the Lord said be far from me for them that honor me I will honor and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

This speaks clearly about the way God treats people. God treats people the way they treat him in second chronicle chapter 15. Let us read two verses second chronicle chapter 15 and we read from verse one and verse two and the spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Odette and he went out to meet Asa and said unto him hear ye me Asa and all Judah and Benjamin the Lord is with you while you be with him and if you seek him he’ll be found of you but if you forsake him he will forsake you.

The Principle of Divine Reciprocity

This is talking about the principle of divine reciprocity that the way you treat God is the way God will treat you back.

In psalm chapter 18, psalm chapter 18, and let us take it from verse 24, therefore had the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight. With a merciful thou will show yourself merciful, with an upright man thou will show yourself upright, with a pure thou will show yourself pure, with a forward thou will show yourself forward.

Period. Very clear. This one you don’t need to go to seminary to understand what is being spoken. Very very clearly stated that he gives you back what you give him.

Biblical Illustration: Judges Chapter One

In Judges and chapter one, you less esteem him he will less esteem you, you highly esteem him he will highly esteem you. You do me I do you, you give me I give you.

Chapter one of Judges and let us read from verse four. And Judah went up and the Lord delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand, and they slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men. And they found Adonai Bezek in Bezek, and they fought against him, and they slew the Canaanites and the Perizzites.

But Adonai Bezek fled, and they pursued after him and caught him and cut off his thumbs and his great toes. And then Adonai Bezek said, three score and ten kings having their thumbs and their great toes cut off gathered their meat under my table. As I have done, so God had requited me.

And they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died. When Adonai Bezek was caught by the men of Judah and his toes cut off and his thumb cut off, he said that 70 kings he caught and did the same thing, cut off their big toes and cut off their thumbs. He said God has paid me back in my own coin. This is what I have done to people and this is what God is doing to me.

The Golden Rule

In Matthew chapter seven, Matthew chapter seven, and let us read verse 12, therefore all things whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you even so to them, for this is the law and the prophets.

Say whatsoever you want people to do to you, do it to them. If you want people to abuse you, abuse them. Whatsoever you, you garbage in is what will come out at the other side. You put in, then the output.

God Responds According to Human Actions

So now the bible contains passages that establish this principle of divine reciprocity, and this indicates that God responds to people based on their actions, based on their attitudes, and based on their obedience or otherwise.

Isaiah chapter one and verse 18, come now and let us reason together says the Lord, though your sins be as colored, they shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, you shall eat the goods of the land. For if you refuse and rebel, it shall be devoured with a sword, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.

Now he says willingness and obedience will yield eating the good of the land, while rebellion and refusal to obey God will bring the sword. So he find out that this is establishing the principle of divine reciprocity. It pairs you with the coins in which you pay him.

Proverbs: Divine Response to Human Choice

In Proverbs chapter one, Proverbs chapter one, and let’s read from verse 23. Turn ye at my reproof, behold I will pour out my spirit unto you, I’ll make known my words unto you.

But that is if you turn at my reproof. Because I have called and you refuse, I have stretched out my hand, no man regarded. But you are set at not all my counsel, I will none of my reproof. I also will laugh at your calamity. I will mock when your fear cometh.

When your fear cometh as desolation and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind, when distress and anguish cometh upon you, then you shall call upon me, I will not answer. They shall seek me early, but they shall not find me.

Because I called you but you didn’t answer. They hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the Lord. They would none of my counsel. They despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way and be filled with their own devices.

For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

Sowing and Reaping

And so this principle is also referred to as the concept of sowing and reaping. It is also known as the golden rule.

Luke chapter 6 and verse 31, and as you would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. This is golden rule.

Galatians chapter 6, chapter 6 of Galatians, let us read from verse 6. Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived, God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption. But he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting. That is clear. Whatsoever and into whatsoever you sow, that is what a person will reap.

When somebody sows confusion, he will reap confusion. Somebody sows discord, he will also reap discord.

Biblical Faith Versus Worldly Concepts

Unbelievers they call it karma. You know that we believers we don’t believe in karma. What we believe in is that the way you relate with God and the way you relate with others is what you’ll be giving back. That is biblical.

Purpose of This Teaching

And so in order to help us understand what the Lord will have us to understand, so that we can get the necessary cleansing that this is designed to achieve, we are considering the discourse on three points.

Number one, we’re going to see biblical proofs and examples of reality or truth about this principle.
Number two, practical proofs where these principles apply.
Number three, understanding the reciprocal nature of God and the benefits we will enjoy if we understand that God has a nature that is reciprocal.

You treat him well, you make him happy, he makes you happy.

Example: Solomon and Divine Pleasure

We find it in the case of Solomon. Solomon brought sacrifice, brought offerings, and the offering was so great and God was so happy that he gave him a blank check and said write whatever you will.

And then in that dream prayer he also added sugar to honey to whatsoever. You know sugar is not good now but honey is good. So he added honey to what he has said.

And God said for asking this, because this thing is so sweet, this is what I’m going to do. He gave him wealth and he gave him wisdom. Wisdom first and wealth that nobody has ever had and nobody after him will have. That’s amazing because he pleased God.

Closing Transition

Now we will be concluding with how we can practically treat God. In other words, what we want to show from there is what and what we will be doing, and it will be as we are treating God.

I have not met God physically since I gave my life to Jesus for near over 45 years now. By next year February 50 it’s going to be 46 years. Would have been 48 but I lost the experience two years later, I came back.

And so well since then I have not met him physically so as to say what do I do, but I have met him well. I’m going to prove that you have met God and there but you have not met him. You have not met him, but you have met him rather.

And so let’s quickly look at the biblical proofs and examples of the reality and truth of this principle.
