There is an aspect of faith of our fathers that we’ll be discussing at this moment. So I would like you to talk to the Lord in prayer and ask the Lord to open your eyes, to grant you understanding of the message that you’ll be listening to at this moment and enable you to key into this message so that you and I would continue in the faith that our fathers laid the foundation. The same way they continued as Jesus the master taught them.

 

So shall we all pray now? Precious father in heaven, we come before you with thanksgiving. We are grateful unto you for a day like this that you have made. And we thank you so immensely for what you have designed to do in this retreat.

 

We thank you for the Watchman Catholic Charismatic United Movement. We thank you for our father in the Lord. We thank you for all the members of this great movement.

 

We thank you for those that you’ll be bringing in through this retreat. And we thank you for the vision, mission, and mandate of this movement. Father, we thank you for what you are going to do today as we thank you for what you’ve done so far.

 

Lord in heaven, we commit ourselves into your hands. We ask you, Lord, to speak to us. I personally hand myself over to you and I pray that the Holy Spirit will take over my mouth, my mind, my soul, my spirit, and minister to your people.

 

Oh, dear Lord of heaven and earth, you know the purpose that made you to bring this particular message today. And I pray, Lord of heaven, that the purpose of this message be accomplished in the life of everyone and in the ministry of the Watchman worldwide. In Jesus’ mighty name we have prayed.

 

Let the people say amen. Let us shout a louder amen. As has already been announced, the theme of the retreat is Ministries for the Ministry.

 

In this particular message, we shall be considering an aspect of the ministry and it has been entitled the anointed and their anointing for the ministry. The anointed and their anointing for the ministry. Granted, there is a ministry.

 

Granted, there are people, men and women that have been called into the ministry. It is also the truth that these men and women that have been called into the ministry have received anointing for the ministry. Those who may not have received anointing for the ministry, today you will be anointed in the name of Jesus.

 

But that’s not all. The question remains if anointing has been granted, how has this anointing been deployed for the objectives of the anointing? This question is what we are going to answer and as we deliberate on this, I know that surely God is going to bless everyone. Let me start by showing us two major objectives before we read our text.

 

Two major objectives of this message. One, we intend in this message to share some knowledge about the practical dimension of the ministry of the watchman. To share some knowledge about the practical dimension of the ministry of the watchman.

 

This message is not doctrinal in nature. We’ve learned so much about the doctrines and we’ve learned so much about the calling of the watchman. We’ve been taught so much about the vision, about the mandate and about the mission of the watchman over the years.

 

But this message is not seeking to dwell on the doctrinal dimension of the calling of the watchman. So the objective number one is to share practical knowledge as to how this ministry can be fulfilled by utilizing the anointing. The second objective of this message is to encourage all watchmen worldwide to progress from the knowledge of doctrinal basis of the calling of the ministry and advance to practical demonstration of the anointing for the purpose of actualizing or fulfilling the ministry of the watchman.

 

The ministry of the watchman, by that we mean the mandate we receive from the Lord, the vision we receive from the Lord and the mission we are seeking to accomplish. So these are the two objectives of this message. And for us to be able to understand this message from God’s own perspective, we shall be considering the following points.

 

Point number one, the fake and the hijack of ministries. Point number two, the called and the genuinely anointed. And then point number three, activating and demonstrating the anointing.

 

Activating and demonstrating the anointing or manifesting the anointing. Now let’s go straight to point number one. The fake and the hijack of ministries.

 

Now, we are all aware that globally speaking, there are a lot of fakes here and there. A lot of falsehood here and there. And most people that know the truth or understand the truth tend to feel disappointed when they see fake manifestation of ministers, powers, anointing, and so on.

 

And so, we take time to show our displeasure, to show our not being happy with those fake things. But the question is, why do we have fake products? Now, we pause it here and then we’ll read the following scriptures which we serve as our test. And then we continue from the point where we paused.

 

Isaiah chapter 49 verses 5 and 6. And activating and demonstrating the anointing. Now remember that we mentioned that there are fake anointing. There are fake prophets.

 

There are fake miracle workers. As there are fake miracles. All across the globe.

 

On this continent we have a whole lot of them. In the country where you are participating from you might also have a lot of fake prophecies, fake prophets, fake ministers, fake miracles and so on and so forth. Well we want to show that before our Lord Jesus came that the issue of fake prophecies, fake dreams had even been existing in Deuteronomy chapter 13.

 

Deuteronomy chapter 13 from verse 1. If there arise among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, give unto him a sign or a wonder. And the sign or the wonder come to pass. Whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods which thou hast not known, and let us serve them.

 

Thou shalt not hacken unto the ways of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams. For the Lord your God proveth you to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him, and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him and cleave unto him.

 

And that prophet or that dreamer of dreams shall be put to death, because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt and redeemed you out of the house of bondage. To thrust thee out of the way with the Lord thy God commanded thee to walk in, so shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. And so part of the law that was handed to the children of Israel by the Lord through Moses were that they should reject first dreamers, first prophets, and punish them accordingly.

 

In Matthew chapter 7, Matthew chapter 7 from verse number 15 through 20 Beware of first prophets which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather graves of toads, of figs, of pistils? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

 

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

 

So here our Lord Jesus warned his disciples, his apostles, and the same warning we are receiving today, that we should note that first prophets will surely appear and that we should beware of them. Then he gives us the yastik of knowing them. He said by their fruits we shall know them.

 

By their character, by the fruits of those who walk with them, who associate with them, by their lifestyle we shall know them. The apostles also extended the same warning in second Peter chapter two from verse one. But there were first prophets also among the people even as there shall be first teachers among you, who privilege shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the law that bought them and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

 

And many shall follow their pernicious ways by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned ways make merchandise of you, whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not and their damnation slumbereth not. So again the apostle lays emphasis on this fact which started from Old Testament and continued through to the time of our Lord Jesus and progressed the time of the apostles first prophets first teachers who most times are sent by Satan the devil who positions himself as a competitor to the almighty God even after he had been cast down from heaven.

 

So as you look around you within your own space within your local place of operation you will see first prophets you will see fake ministers you will see, you will hear or you will even read about first miracles fakes all over the places so it’s been there from of old and many godly people are being influenced affected deceived, confused by first prophets and first miracle workers now that is to show you the time in which we are operating. So we can say that the ministry of the watchman is operating at a time when there are a lot of first prophets a lot of fake miracles and miracle workers and they have taken over the arena they have hijacked the arena they are everywhere in the social media space they are there the print media space they are there electronic media space they are there anywhere you look around you will see them they are all over the places and multitudes are following them multitudes are trooping declaring their loyalty to them receiving from them what they are selling what they are sharing what they are handing down to them and many of us are not pleased with this situation if you are a lover of truth if you know the truth if the truth has set you free then you would most likely identify first prophets you would most likely identify errors and whenever you do you will not be pleased but then the question is why is it that fakes have taken over the arena this question will be answered in the course of this message but let’s now consider the second point the called and genuinely anointed the called those that are called by God and they are genuinely anointed that’s what we consider at this point now may I say that there are genuinely called children of God genuinely called Christian workers genuinely called God’s servants genuinely called and anointed children of God believers they are all over the places across the globe but let me say this that if you are a member of this movement you will agree with me that the calling of the watchman came genuinely from God there’s no doubt about that so the watchman is among those people or Christian organization that can stand their ground and say yes God called us and angels cannot controvert it because it is truth do you agree with me why is it that we are discussing this subject you are going to also see that later now you have the genuinely called you have fakes you have false prophets before you have any fake products there must first have been original products so fake products are designed to mimic original products so it is true to say that if there are no originals there will not be fakes because fakes intend to copy the original but fakes would reduce the quality and standard and because the quality and standard is reduced the duration of that product will not be like that of the original and of course in the marketplace their pricing will not be the same so people that love cheap things would go for fakes but there are times that people go for fakes not because they are cheap but because they are the only ones available in the present day Christianity it does appear that the truth is either in hiding or the truth is going extinct it does appear that original products of the gospel appear to be going extinct or in hiding or not visible enough for the people to see it does appear that some holders of the truth are not showcasing the truth publicly either because of certain limitations or because they do not have what it takes to go public and showcase the truth and because of these reasons and more holders of fakes appear to have taken over the arena and they are everywhere and so those that happen to know the truth are crying, they are complaining they are saying what are we going to do why are there fakes everywhere why are there imitations as we call them everywhere why are the people confused now these are questions that this message is intending to answer now we have identified this ministry as one of those prominent ministries in the world that received genuine calling, received genuine anointing from God but then why is it that fakes appear to be dominant let’s go into the message proper the anointed and genuinely called in Isaiah chapter 61 let’s return to read from verse 1 the spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord had anointed me to bring good tidings unto the meek he has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the cultists and the opening of the prison to them that are bound, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance over God to comfort all that mourn to comfort all that mourn, and I repeat to comfort all that mourn, to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion to give unto them beautiful ashes, the oil of joy for mourning the garment of bread for the spirit of heaviness that they might be called trees of righteousness the planting of the Lord that he might be glorified let’s do a little analysis as we pick some points from here because this scripture actually refers to our Lord Jesus but then you know that Jesus said that I go to my Father and then when he said to his disciples I am going to my Father he said I’m going to prepare a place when I’m done preparing the place I’ll come and take you, but again he said before I return you need to do a stand in for me greater works will you do because I go to my Father because we as his disciples have longer period to stay on earth our master stayed for three and a half years that was the duration of his ministry proper he lived thirty three and a half years, but three and a half years after that three and a half years were spent in full time ministry, so it was short, a short time he said I’m handing over to you and I’m not only handing over to you but as I return to my Father, I will pray to him, he will send you the comforter he said further in Acts the one verse eight, I will give you the anointing the power, wait until you receive the power, why? so that you will continue from where I stopped now what did Jesus do? we’re going back to read Acts chapter one, but let’s look at what Isaiah 61 said here, the spirit of the Lord God is upon me because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek so first to preach good tidings unto the meek with power, with anointing, then he hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted to bind up the broken hearted with anointing again to proclaim liberty to the to set them free with anointing, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound with anointing to proclaim the settlement of the Lord with anointing and the death of angels of our God with anointing, and to comfort all that mourn with anointing to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion with anointing, and to use anointing to give unto them beautiful ashes the oil of joy for mourning the garment of prayer for the spirit of heaviness that they might be called trees of righteousness the planting of the Lord that he might be glorified can you see? that the anointing was released by the Father and the Holy Ghost upon Jesus for these purposes and Jesus while he was on earth deployed this anointing and served these purposes he served these purposes he served them well he was not in any way distracted he was not carried away he was focused on deploying anointing for these reasons and the Bible said in how God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power and he went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devils for God the Father was with him. Let’s see a few examples of how Jesus deployed the anointing in Matthew chapter 8 reading from verse 1 when he was come down from the mountain great multitude followed him and behold there came a leper and worshipped him saying Lord if that wilt that can’t make me clean and Jesus put forth his hand and touched him saying I will be thou clean and immediately his leprosy was cleansed the leprosy of that man was cleansed.

 

Verse 4 and Jesus said unto him see thou turn no man but go thy way show thyself to the priest and offer the gifts that Moses commanded for a testimony unto them. This man was carrying leprosy this man was afflicted with leprosy but Jesus released anointing for healing upon him and leprosy disappeared and this man became free. In Mark chapter 1 verse 40 Mark chapter 1 verse 40 and there came another leper to him beseeching him and kneeling down to him and saying unto him if thou wilt thou can’t make me clean Jesus said to him in verse 4 and Jesus moved with compassion put forth his hand and touched him and said unto him I will be thou clean.

 

How can somebody just see a man with leprosy without laboring so much he just touched the man and leprosy disappeared. That looks like magic but that was not magic that was the anointing that tells us the power of anointing anointing gets deep into the process of healing and it sometimes and most times is spontaneous instantaneous. The anointing upon Jesus rested upon this man and this man was immediately healed and leprosy was no more there in his life and in his body.

 

In Matthew chapter 9 let’s read from verse 1 and he entered into a ship and passed over and came into his own city and behold they brought to him a man sick of the posse lying on the bed and Jesus seeing their face said unto the sick of the posse son be of good cheer thy sins be forgiven thee and behold certain of the scribes said within themselves this man blaspheming and Jesus knowing their thoughts said we are for thinking evil in your heart for whether it’s easier to say thy sins be forgiven thee or to say arise and walk but that ye may know that the son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins then said he to the sick of the posse arise take up thy bed and go unto thy house and he arose and departed to his house praise ye the lord just like that just like that in verse 32 of the same Matthew chapter 9 as they went and behold they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a devil and when the devil was cast out the dumb spake and multitude marveled saying it was never so seen in Israel but the pharisees said he casted out devils through the prince of the devils he casted out devils through the prince of the devils because they were surprised how come that so easily devils would just come out as Jesus just speaks a word devils would just come out how come that these things were happening so easily they were astonished they had not seen it that way before and that tells you how anointing works so Jesus received anointing for the ministry just like we have received anointing for the ministry and we have seen a few examples of how Jesus deployed anointing how he used anointing to make impact in the life of people how people were healed were delivered were set free because of the anointing we know the story of Lazarus and how Jesus brought him back to life by speaking a word after a short prayer to the father prayer of thanksgiving we know how Jesus used anointing to multiply bread and fishes and then thousands eggs we know how Jesus used anointing to calm the waves and storm of the sea we know how Jesus used anointing to make the blind to see to make the lame walk and so on and so forth so these were how Jesus used the anointing and when he said to us continue then he meant that we should also do the same let’s go to see the case of apostles the immediate apostles that received the word from Jesus directly that saw him and went in and out with him and listened to him and he ministered to them let’s see in chapter one the former three times verse one have I made all teflos of all that Jesus began both to do and teach the apostles witnessed what Jesus did and what he taught they observed they learned they followed they saw they participated and so when he passed on the baton unto them when he handed the leadership authority unto them when he released the spirit of God upon them after resurrection he said receiving the spirit of God as he appeared to them in the upper room and then eventually when the Holy Ghost came they received the anointing they received the power they continued from where Jesus stopped and that’s what the apostle what the writer of us apostles meant here is that the former three times have I made all teflos referring to the three times made in the book of Luke because it was Luke that wrote us apostles of all that Jesus began but to do and teach unto the day in which he was taken up after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen to whom also he showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs being seen of them forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God now he said I am now articulating all that the apostles and the disciples did so that you will see the continuity in the work of the apostles that all that they did were things they observed from Jesus they started from where Jesus left and so it beholds on us believers of today as watchmen that we should continue from where the apostles also left and part of what the apostles did was that they preached the gospel they taught the gospel and they did miracles by raising up anointing and graciously we have the same anointing the same Holy Spirit that was upon them the same Holy Spirit that is upon us the same anointing that came upon them the same anointing that is upon us and therefore the question is what stops us from manifesting from demonstrating the anointing now we have many more examples to show how the apostles demonstrated the anointing and used anointing to free those that were in bondage healed people and did a lot of miracles let’s pick a few examples chapter 5 from verse 12 and by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch and of the rest does no man join himself to them but the people magnify them and believers were the more added to the Lord multitudes both of men and of women they wrought signs and wonders after they received the Holy Ghost in Acts chapter 2 in Acts chapter 6 verse 8 as Stephen full of faith and power did great wonders and miracles among the people full of faith and power the power of the Holy Ghost did great wonders and miracles among the people in Acts chapter 1 let’s see the power that the bible referenced here Acts chapter 1 verse 8 but you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth you shall receive power the power of the Holy Ghost and so brethren children of God believers watch men it’s the same spirit of God that we receive and if you have not received you are going to receive today but the question is why is the anointing not operating as it operated in their days we have further examples but time will not allow us to go into them but let me just refer you to Hebrews chapter 2 read from verse 3 through verse 4 and Acts chapter 3 from verse 1 through verse 10 so now we are seeing how Jesus deployed the anointing as declared as prophesied in Isaiah chapter 61 we are seeing also how that the apostles received the same anointing as Jesus promised in Acts chapter 1 verse 8 that they were practical in the demonstration of the anointing they were not theoretical they were not busy teaching the concept of anointing they were not busy theorizing anointing teaching it like in a university the meaning of anointing the theology of anointing no they were practicing anointing they were practicalizing they were like medical students that were taught theories from their first year to their third year and then taught practicals from their fourth year and as they had their clinicals and they finished and passed professional exams and then they were exposed they were taken to the theater they saw, they witnessed they assisted those who were already qualified before them they were like nurses they were like lawyers who after going through the university, education learning theories about law and rules, regulation and all those things, cases and statues, at the end of the day they were taken to where they should learn practical and after that they are deployed into the field to practice what they learned the apostles learned and practiced and so we also have learned and God wants us to practice now when we talk about the anointing because that is our next point now our next point is activating and demonstrating the anointing how do we activate the anointing now we are discussing this subject with the assumption that you have known about the anointing you have received the anointing because I remember that last December when we had our retreat we extensively spoke on the baptism of the Holy Spirit and many people were baptized, in fact some people a lot of people had been baptized before December, but that December there was a kind of refreshment and people received the Holy Spirit again people received renewal again people were happy but the question is between December and now what has been happening what are people using the anointing to do we have seen that Jesus used the anointing in the field practically we have also seen that the apostles used the anointing practically in the field, they went out they saw the lame, they healed them they saw lepers, they healed them they saw the blind, they healed them if at any point even a handkerchief from the apostles were healing people on the streets so they did not receive the anointing and then hold the anointing in their kitchen, in their cupboard in their bedrooms they did not receive the anointing and store the anointing in their warehouses they used the anointing of the Holy Spirit they healed the sick they raised the dead they cast out devils from people they preach the gospel practically but why is it that believers of the present day receive anointing and after a few weeks that anointing is nowhere to be found is the Holy Ghost different is it the same where is the problem coming from, from the Holy Ghost from the Father from Jesus from the church from who, from the believer yes from the believer and we are going to show so the problem is that a number of people do not know that after you receive the anointing you need to continually activate the anointing you need to continually deploy the anointing demonstrate the anointing use the anointing for if you do not do so you are likely going to lose the anointing or the anointing may remain in you but it will lie latent let’s explain this well that is crude somewhere beneath the earth in your locality and somehow you have got to know or maybe you are not aware that has crude flowing underneath the crude will not jump out from somewhere and then you will use it to drive your car, no the crude need to be there is a process of exploring and a process of mining and after the mining there is also a process of refining when you explore there are companies that are giving license to explore and when they find a commercial quantity then they are giving further license to mine and after they have found and they have done all the things they should do with the government in place, put machines in place they will exploit they will drill oil from the ground from underneath the earth and drill them out and it will come out as crude in some cases that is what they call when the crude mixes with gas then they have to separate the two but when the crude, when the gas alone it is called natural gas let’s put that aside now when you gather the crude you cannot pour the crude into your car you cannot pour the crude and use it in your kitchen as gas you cannot use the crude to do whatever, you need to refine it and that is why we have refineries the refinery is a place where crude undergoes certain chemical processes and then when it goes through the processes you have your gas, you have your kerosene, you have your petrol, you have other products so in the same way when the Holy Spirit is given to a believer or to a people and they need to do further work in order to activate the power of the Holy Spirit to be able to demonstrate the power you have to see the Holy Spirit and then you need to do what you need to do so let’s go to look at steps that you need to take to activate the anointing because after these steps we are going to pray we are going to pray because today somebody will say I will go into practicals praise ye the Lord now enough of complaints about fake products fake pastors, fake miracles where are genuine pastors, where are genuine prophets, where are genuine miracle workers what are they doing with the genuine anointing these are the questions so three steps we need to take in attempting to activate the anointing remember the Bible said that the anointing has been released upon you and that anointing came upon you on the day you received the Holy Ghost you received the anointing so we are standing on that foundation now the first thing you need to do to start to demonstrate the anointing the first thing you need to do is to purge yourself 2 Timothy chapter 2 2 Timothy chapter 2 verse 21 if a man therefore purge himself from these he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified and made for the master’s use and prepared unto every good work so first step is purge yourself purge yourself of every known sin and ask the Lord to search you in case there are unknown sins so that he will cleanse you then when that is done you have done you have taken the first step step number two forgive whosoever that may have offended you, the Holy Spirit does not walk in an atmosphere where there are existing sins the Holy Spirit does not walk with somebody who is fighting, struggling having issues here and there the Holy Spirit does not walk with bitter minds the Holy Spirit walks with minds that are cleansed and freed for he is called Holy Spirit so let’s read Luke chapter 6 verse 37 judge not and ye shall not be judged, condemn not and ye shall not be condemned, forgive and ye shall be forgiven, forgive and ye shall be forgiven if you do not forgive those who trespass The effectiveness of anointing is determined by how much time one spends in the sacred place with God. If you spend a short time in a sacred place with God, that will limit the flow of the anointing. But if you spend much time in the sacred place with God, that will enhance the flow of the anointing.

 

So how much time one gives in a sacred place, what does that mean? How much time the anointing will flow and how great it will flow. The volume of the flow is determined by the time you spend in God’s presence, either as an individual or as a group. So there is no room for complaining.

 

There’s no room for wishful thinking. There’s no room for desiring and doing nothing. But there is every room for us to desire and to take actions.

 

In 1 John chapter 2, if you want anointing to flow in your church, you know what to do. If you want anointing to flow in your life, you now know what to do. You can create time.

 

You can make a time. You have to make a sacrifice. 1 John chapter 2 from verse 20.

 

But you have an unction from the Holy One and you know all things. You have an unction. Yes, you have the unction.

 

Let’s read verse 27. But the anointing which you have received of Him abided in you. And you need not that any man teach you.

 

But as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is not lie. And even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. There are many that are running from pillar to post, looking for one man of God, another man of God.

 

When they hear that somebody in there, up there, they will run. Somebody up there, they will run. Somebody there, they will run.

 

Yet, they themselves have anointing. But here is the Word of God. But the anointing which ye have received already, that is already in you.

 

You need not that any man teach you. That does not mean that we should not be under teaching of, under apostolic teaching, under pastoral teaching. No.

 

It means that you don’t need to run from pillar to post. Moved by every wind of doctrine. Oh, there is some man of God there.

 

Oh, and watchmen are not experts in looking for where it is happening. Yes, we are the people that God has given the genuine anointing. So what do you need to do? You need to do, what you need to do is to create time.

 

Draw personal programs. Stay with God. It requires discipline.

 

It requires commitment. It requires consecration. And pray.

Mondays we are coming, but at this time, we are having vigil once in a week. And you are consistent about it. And before you know it, something will begin to happen.

 

The parish can do it. The district can do it. Rather than run from pillar to post.

 

Look at it, and we did it again. But the anointing which you have received of him abided in you. It’s in you.

I mentioned a few. One, the anointing will bring about edification in the body of Christ. Two, the anointing will bring confirmation of the gospel to those who hear the gospel from us.

 

The anointing will bring about empowerment in the ministry when anointing is activated. The anointing will bring about liberation of the oppressed and healing of the sick. The anointing will lead to church growth.

 

The anointing will bring about salvation of souls. The anointing will bring about fresh awareness, create or resurrect interest. The interest people have in Christ, the interest people have in coming to church, the anointing will increase interest, will restore interest, will restore zeal, will restore commitment.

 

The anointing will increase faith. The anointing will increase unity and compression in the church. The anointing will draw down the glory of God.

 

The anointing, when activated, will bring down the glory of God and will make miracles to be happening in our churches every day. The anointing will make your personal evangelism more effective. The anointing will make soul winning exercises more effective, more practical, more fruitful.

 

We can’t measure them all. We can’t exalt benefits of anointing. And so watchmen, we are going to rise and pray.

 

Everybody right now, you say, Lord, so you are saying that anointing is in me. Yes, the anointing is in you. Stop running from pillar to post.

 

Stay where you are and activate anointing. It’s time to pray now. I need to begin to talk to God.

 

And it’s a practical session. Jesus healed the sick, cast out devils, and that’s part of the faith of our Father we received. We also need to heal the sick in our churches, in our neighborhoods, in our cities, in our villages.

 

The watchmen have been given the ministry of healing the sick and the oppressed. And we have been given the anointing to do that. The anointing has not left the watchman.

 

The anointing is with us. The anointing has not left you except if sin has taken over. And if sin has taken over, you have been told what to do.

 

Purge yourself through repentance, confession, and God will forgive you and release back the anointing. But if sin has not taken over, but you thought that you are weak, the anointing is still in you. Purge yourself, activate anointing through prayers, through constant prayers, and you’ll see that the fire will return.

The Lord is talking about you. Before we make this prayer, let me share a personal experience with you. You are the one that God is talking about.

 

He is not talking about someone else. Do not look at your pastor. Do not look at the brother or sister.

 

Look at you. You are the one God is saying you are the anointed. You should use the anointing as Jesus and the apostles used the anointing.

 

Praise the Lord. Do not think that because you are going through whatever thing, personal experience is precious. The anointing is not there.

 

No. Now, when the Lord visited me with anointing years ago, it was an experience. I’ve shared this experience some places.

 

I’m going to make it brief. God used a pastor, the man of God, to anoint me. It was in a dream.

 

But something unique happened. After the anointing, he gave me a bottle of water and gave me a bottle of oil. And then I asked him a question which he answered.

 

And then I woke up. I received understanding that an extra bottle of water and an extra bottle of oil is for renewal. That any time I feel like I am weak, I should go to God in prayer.

 

Then that extra bottle of oil will be poured again. And I noticed also that Jesus our Lord did that. That from time to time he would retire to the mountain.

 

After doing some exhaustive work, miracles, signs, wonders, he would retire to the mountain and just alone, stay alone, praying for refreshment. So there is no man, no matter how anointed, there is no woman, no matter how anointed, that can stand to tell you that from the first day he was anointed to the day he, if the person has gone to heaven, that he went to heaven, that there was no day that was a reduction in the oil. There was no day of weakness.

 

There was no moment of tiredness. Even Jesus got tired and slept inside the boat. Am I correct? So there is room for you to recognize that right now I am weak.

 

Though anointing is there, but I need to, I am weak and I need to activate. So you take the right steps. So the right step number one is purge yourself.

 

Step number two, if you have issues with people, fix those issues in your heart. After the meeting, approach them and so on. Then the third thing is to pray and say, Lord, restore the anointed.

The watchman, this is our time to go out on the center stage. We will no longer stay at the back and watch fake prophets and fake apostles and fake this and fake that take over the arena. We are going to go and take over that which the Lord has given unto us.

 

Even at a time like this, it is our time. So all watchmen everywhere, let’s draw prayer programs to activate anointing. Apostle Paul traveled in prayer.

 

Our master Jesus traveled in prayers. All the apostles traveled in prayers. It is by traveling in prayers that anointing is activated and anointing works out even signs and wonders.

 

This is our time, this is our season, but the Lord has given us this occasion. This Easter retreat is a time for us to return even to the drawing board. Let’s return to the drawing board.

 

Let’s return to the drawing board of prayer, to the place of prayer, the sacred place of prayer, the place of prayer. That is where we travel. That is where matters are settled.

 

That is where anointing is quickened. It’s not in the room. It’s not in the room where we study other things.
